Day 36

Day 36

Today was another great day at Pontiac. This morning everyone had a blast doing different activities such as outdoor adventure, water park, arts and crafts, boating, swimming, tennis, and group games.

In the evening all lower camp celebrated Halloween. They had lots of fun collecting candy around camp. The lower camp and middle camp boys had the Grumet finals.The junior girls enjoyed a campfire on the island having delicious s’mores and singing songs.

Our preview campers ended their night on a high note over at Treetop enjoying quesadillas and s’mores. Don’t forget to visit Bunk 1 and access a special daily photo album made for them.

Today was another beautiful day at Camp Pontiac.

Boy’s side had a busy morning full of league games, water park, sports, and cooking with Karen. Girls’ side had sing rehearsal, gymnastics, dance, water front, and sports. The Junior boys 7th grade basketball team came in 2nd place while the Junior girls watched and cheered them on. Finally, the Subbie and Senior girls enjoyed a day at the beach.

For this evening’s activity, we all gathered together in the Playhouse to see the lower camp sing competition. Congratulations to all our participants, especially to the Debs and Inters!

Today the Debs, Braves, Freshman,  Sophomore, Inters, and Junior boys and girls enjoyed a day full of indoor activities practicing “sing rehearsal”, arts and crafts, cooking with Karen, dance, and bingo.

Congratulations to our 6th grade boys who took first place in a basketball tournament at Camp Taconic.

For this evening’s activity, the girls and boys watched a movie and Sophomore boys had a pool party.

Today our campers had another amazing day around camp.

Tonight, all lower camp girls gathered together on the Island to enjoy s’mores by the campfire, while lower camp boys played league games and the Inters boys and girls watched a movie and enjoyed the ice cream shop.

Can’t believe how fast the summer is going.

While the older campers are away, the Debs, Braves, Freshman and Sophomore boys and girls were hanging around camp doing activities like yoga, aerobics, arts & crafts, and outdoor adventure. In the afternoon, the Braves and Freshman boys went to the movies.

This evening’s activity included all lower camp boys gathering together on the island for a campfire which included making s’mores; while the girls had fun making edible art!

Fun never stops at Camp Pontiac!!!

Today started off a little rainy but we still had fun. All lower camp girls watched a movie and had lunch at 4Bs. The rest of the campers enjoyed different indoor sports and activities in the Palace, cooking center and at arts and crafts.

While at the cooking center the Frosh and Sophomore boys and Sophomore and Subbie  girls made cakes.

At night, the Subbies gathered on the Island for a campfire. Tomorrow the Subbies leave for Montreal.

Our Inters arrived safely and enjoyed the day at Hershey Park. The Juniors are enjoying their trip to Boston and our Seniors are in Toronto having a blast!!

Today campers enjoyed spending time on the waterpark, pools, lake, Outdoor Adventure, playing sports, and arts and crafts.

For the evening activity, we all gathered together at the Playhouse to see Beauty and the Beast. It was a great show. After the show, the Subbie boys went up to Treetop Village to enjoy quesadillas, s’mores, and sitting by the campfire.

Our Supers and CITs arrived in California safely and have begun their 10 day adventure in San Diego.

What an amazing visiting day! Thank you so much for all the love and time spent. It was a successful day. Campers spent time with their families, played tennis and basketball, ziplined, and played on the waterpark.

After you everyone left, campers and counselors enjoyed our traditional water fight. There were lots of water balloons and water gun fights. This evening to finish up the day, we all gathered together in the Playhouse to watch Miss Pontiac. Congratulations to Michael Zitner for a job well done!

Out trip week starts tomorrow with the Supers and CITs leaving for California. We wish all our groups a safe trip.

Today was another great day here at Camp Pontiac!

Camp Pontiac held its annual Pontiac 5k race today. Many campers participated and had lots of fun. Our girls’ dance team headed to Lenox to bring home a 1st place trophy. Our girls’ volleyball team competed at Camp Taconic. They also came back with a 1st place trophy.

Tonight, all campers gathered together at the Playhouse to watch the Upper Camp Girls’ Sing. Congratulations to all the girls, especially to the Subbies and Supers. Way to go, girls!

We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow for visiting day.
