Who are the GOBS?

The Girls on Boys Side (GOBS) provide a unique and invaluable element to our youngest boys' summer camp experience. While they reside on Girls Side, GOBS spend their days and evenings as Boys Side general counselors. Our dedicated group of female counselors immerse themselves in the daily lives of our boy campers, embodying the role of summertime big sisters. Their commitment extends beyond conventional expectations, as they provide an exceptional level of care and attention. Besides the routine tasks of applying sunblock and ensuring proper hygiene, the GOBS create an atmosphere that is both supportive, nurturing, and fun!

Our GOBS are instrumental in the development of our boys and their influence extends beyond the physical well-being of our campers. GOBS provide life skills and guidance, act as role models, and promote a sense of camaraderie. From reading bedtime stories to the comforting presence they provide, the GOBS play a pivotal role in creating positive and enduring memories for our youngest campers, encouraging a profound sense of belonging that extends throughout their camp journey.
