CIRCUS TRAINING ARTS

In Camp Pontiac’s “Big Top Pavilion” we are proud to unveil our new circus arts summer camp program! Acrobats of all ages are welcome to join the Pontiac Circus at our sleepaway camp. Connecting the realms of sports, fitness, adventure, and performing arts - circus has something special for everyone! The program is overseen by a team of passionate and qualified instructors, who are handpicked and led by our two Circus Directors. Our directors have over 35 years of experience of teaching and working in the circus industry.

Reigning as one of the most impressive and awe inspiring disciplines - our full sized flying trapeze is the program's biggest hit! Campers follow a progression to learn how to swing, flip, perform tricks, and even be caught out of the air by an instructor hanging from an opposite trapeze bar. In addition to the flying trapeze, campers can learn how to climb, pose, and perform movements across multiple aerial apparatuses - including popular ones like aerial silks, aerial hoop, & dance trapeze.

Combining skilled instructors with the proper safety measures for each activity - such as safety nets, harnesses, crash mats, trained spotters, and belay systems - our circus program provides a secure environment for campers to learn and perform daring acrobatics.
