Pontiac’s sleepaway camp hockey program takes our campers' love for rollerblading and puts it in the rink! Campers begin by learning important skating skills like balance and turning. Once the staff has our campers feeling comfortable on skates, it’s time to introduce sticks and pucks. Hockey staff then progressively covers the fundamentals of hockey like passing, receiving, shooting, goaltending, and stick handling. Campers then utilize these strategies in friendly summer camp intramural league play as well as more competitive inter-camp games and tournaments.
