Cooking
The Pontiac cooking summer camp program is one of the most enjoyable activities at camp! It is housed in our state-of-the-art kitchen and managed by our in-house chef Karen Etra. With the help of three assistant chefs, campers of every age have the opportunity to learn about the culinary arts.
We teach our campers how to prepare a variety of dishes, including appetizers and desserts. Eventually, our campers cook full meals inspired by international cuisines.
Older campers have access to longer cooking sessions and prepare an evening meal together that they enjoy as a group out on the backyard deck. At the more advanced level, campers utilize their culinary flair to create signature dishes. During our end-of-camp "Color War", campers put their skills to the test in our annual Chopped Challenge!
